Meet Christy

Christy provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County.

Hello! My name is Christy Burroughs! I am super excited to get started working with Tiny Feet! I am a Greenville native, I was born and raised in Mauldin and I graduated from Mauldin High School. I played softball all of my life, and was able to play the sport I love 3 out of my 4 years at North Carolina Central University. I have always had a love of baking and have recently started my sourdough journey, but that is when I am not playing with my sweet dog Maya.

Background

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral and Social Science with a concentration in Family and Consumer Sciences from North Carolina University

I started my career working as a Swim instructor and gained the opportunity to help pilot the Diverse Abilities class for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at the Eastside YMCA, but my passion for working with children started when I was 15. I was able to teach children that were on the spectrum how to swim, and about water safety. I gained my bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Family and Consumer Sciences to help me gain more experience and knowledge not only about children, but also about how family dynamics help to shape us and our children.

Specialized Training:

  • BabyNet Part C Credential

  • First Aid & CPR Certified

  • Therapeutic Options Certified
