Meet Courtney
Courtney provides Early Intervention Services in Spartanburg County.
Hi! I'm Courtney—a firm believer that bubbles can solve a surprising number of problems, every milestone deserves a celebration, and learning happens best through play. With a background in psychology and education, I love helping little ones grow while supporting families every step of the way. Whether getting creative with activities, or cheering on a child's newest accomplishment, I'm passionate about making learning fun and meaningful. When I'm not encouraging tiny humans, I'm probably crocheting something cozy or finding the most helpful thing my hands can get into!
Background
Education:
a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrating in Psychology and Education. My education gave me a strong foundation in child development, instructional psychology, human development, communication, and creating supportive learning environments. I love turning developmental goals into engaging, play-based experiences that help children build confidence one milestone at a time.
My childcare experience has taught me that the biggest milestones often begin with the smallest moments. From helping a child confidently order ice cream for the first time to teaching social skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving while babysitting, I've enjoyed fostering independence in everyday situations. As a Youth Group teacher, I created engaging lesson plans and activities that encouraged learning, teamwork, and confidence. These experiences, combined with my background in Psychology and Education, have strengthened my passion for helping children grow through patience, creativity, and meaningful connections. I'm excited to begin my journey in Early Intervention, where I can help children and their families celebrate every milestone, one small step at a time.
