Meet Emily
Emily provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County
Hi! My name is Emily Powell, and I’m originally from Seneca, South Carolina. I moved to downtown Greenville in 2021 and quickly fell in love with the area. Not long after settling in, I adopted a sweet tortoiseshell cat and a spirited corgi who keep life entertaining. When I’m not taking my corgi on new adventures, I enjoy crocheting, watching movies, and getting lost in a good book.
Background
Education:
I graduated from West-Oak High School in Westminster, SC, then moved on to major in Psychology and have a dual minor in Biology and Spanish at Clemson University. I am also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
My interest in becoming an Early Interventionist was inspired by my mother’s work as a mental health counselor, which sparked my love for the field of psychology. Growing up, I saw how meaningful it is to support others through understanding and compassion, regardless of background. Over time, that interest developed into a deep passion for helping children and families, especially in ways that foster growth and confidence during early development.
