Hi! My name is Jenna Hohman. I was born in Pennsylvania and spent most of my life in Colorado because my dad was in the military. I got my education from the University of South Carolina Upstate. I earned my bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Child Advocacy Studies. I am passionate about mental health and behavioral support, and want to build a meaningful relationship with the families I work with. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors especially if they include the beach or the mountains. I also enjoy expressing my creative side by doing activities such as painting, pottery, and drawing. I also am a big dog lover, and I have a dog named Lucy who is a pitbull mix.
Background
Education:
Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Child Advocacy Studies from University of South Carolina upstate
My background in psychology has given me a strong understanding of child development, behavior, and learning. During my time in school, I completed an internship where I observed register behavior technicians working with children with developmental and behavioral needs. This helped develop valuable skills essential for working as an early interventionist. Working with kids has always been a big part of my life and I have always had a passion for helping them learn and grow. As the oldest of three children I've always enjoyed caring for and supporting my younger siblings. I have also taught swim lessons to little kids since I was 15 years old and love helping children build confidence while working with their families to achieve their goals. All of these experiences strengthened my desire to pursue a career where I can make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.
