Meet Johnna

Johnna provides Early Intervention Services in Anderson County.

Hello- My name is Johnna and I’m so glad to love and serve families as a part of the Tiny Feet family. I’m originally from Huntington, West Virginia and moved to the upstate in November 2021 after my husband of 30 years passed away. I have three adult children- two live locally, and one is a pediatric OT living in IL. I have THREE grandchildren under 6 and I love being their nana. Millie and Maggie are my little Boston Terriers and constant source of amusement. My faith in Christ is the foundation of my life.  I’m a ‘do-er’ and always have a to-do list and a project. I have a garden. I love to plan my next trip (I just got back from PARIS). Even so, my porch swing is my favorite place. I sew. And now, I'm learning to quilt.  My life is full and I’m expectant for my future!

Background

Education:

  • Marshall University with a degree in Communication Disorders

I graduated with a degree in Communication Disorders from Marshall University with the intention to pursue a career as an SLP. During graduate school, we started a family and I set that goal aside. Since then, I’ve had an opportunity to work in a wide variety of areas- non-profit leadership, lobbying for non-profits at the state level, working as a Teaching Assistant in a Hearing Impaired preschool that focused on oral language, and more.

Specialized Training:

  • BabyNet Part C Credential

  • First Aid & CPR Certified

  • Therapeutic Options Certified
