Meet Katherine

Katherine Evatt provides Early Intervention Services in Spartanburg county.

“I was born in Spartanburg SC but quickly moved with my family to a few different cities while I was young. My family eventually settled on the beaches of NC where they still live. I ended up moving back to Spartanburg to pursue my college education at Converse University. During my senior year is when I met my husband. We got married in November 2022 and are so excited to start building our life together. Which is going to absolutely be centered around his dog and my two cats! I love working with Tiny Feet Early Intervention. It is a company in which I feel supported in my professional and personal pursuits and feel excited about coming to work every day! I am so excited to start serving you and your family!”

Background

Education:

  • BA in Psychology and Music with an emphasis in Arts and Cognition Research - Converse University

 Background:

"Growing up I loved little ones. I was always asking the parents if I could help with anything and everything with their children. As I grew up this naturally became an opening for me to start babysitting. Something I didn’t realize then but can reflect upon now is that many of the children I was watching while in high school had various developmental disabilities ranging from ADHD to Autism. I believe that gave me a strong applicable foundation on which I have built a lot of my academic knowledge. When I went to Converse I started out as a Music Therapy major. And, while I still firmly believe that is an amazing and unique option for many kiddos, I realized it wasn’t the field for me and that I wanted to engage with children and their families through a more holistic approach. Which is something I have come to love about working as an Early Interventionist. I have the opportunity to be with your family and child and understand various aspects of your life. I get to learn what is important to you as a family and what your child finds interesting about the world. I love spending the time to get to know my families while helping educate you on research based approaches to help you meet your child's individualized developmental goals."
