Meet Keeshia

Keeshia provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County.

I was born and raised in the Upstate of South Carolina and have lived here most of my life, with the exception of living almost 8 years in Georgia. My husband, Eric, and I originally met in high school as inseparable best friends. We began dating while in college, married in 2004, and welcomed our miracle baby girl, Reese, in 2007. We have a rescue puppers, Maddie, who is by far the sweetest fur baby in the world. In my spare time, I enjoy any activity with my husband and daughter. I also love all things creative, but especially photography, painting and creating multi-media artwork, a good book and coffee!

Background

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Art from Columbia College (Columbia, SC)

  • Masters of Art in Teaching from Lander University (Greenwood, SC)

I always wanted to be part of changing the world for the good, but was unsure what that looked like in the beginning. I majored in Political Science with the intention of becoming a DEA agent or US Marshal until my senior year, when the US government went on a hiring freeze. I went on to pursue my MAT from Lander University to become an art educator. I fell in love with facilitating those “ah-ha” moments with the kids I taught for over 17 years in both the public and private sectors. I am able to still be part of changing the world for the good while facilitating those “ah-ha” moments! Being an Early Interventionist is simply the best career!
