Meet Madi

Madi provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County.

I spent my childhood in Tennessee and Columbia, SC. My family, fiance and I moved to Greenville about 5 years ago. Some of my favorite hobbies are knitting, working on puzzles, and other various crafts. I live with my fiance, and our dog Moe and cat Miyuki. We love to travel around the east coast. Our favorite night out is attending a hockey game played by our local ECHL team, the Swamp Rabbits. In my spare time I volunteer as a Guardian ad Litem for the children of Greenville County.

Background

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology from University of South Carolina- Upstate.

    • Minor in Child Advocacy Studies

After I completed my associate’s degree I felt unsure of where to go in my life. What I did know, however, was that I had a deep and abiding love for children. This led me to my work as an assistant preschool teacher. As I gained more experience with the children at my job I began to realize that working with children was where I was meant to be.  I returned to college to earn my bachelor’s. Through my further education I was introduced to the myriad of ways an individual can positively impact the life and development of a child. Specifically, we learned about the valuable work completed by early interventionists. I felt this was where I would make the most impact on my community.
