“I grew up in Statesville, North Carolina, a small city about an hour north of Charlotte. I moved to Anderson, SC when I started attending Anderson University. My husband and I recently got married in May 2022. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, hiking, and serving in children’s ministry!."

Background

Education:

  • BA in Human Development and Family Studies from Anderson University.

    • minor in Christian Studies

“I have always found myself volunteering or working with children whether I was working in elementary schools, summer camps, children’s ministry, or with foster children. I LOVE working with children and families. During the summers between college, I helped organize and lead volunteers, activities, and Bible studies at my church’s Vacation Bible School and summer camp. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree from Anderson University, I started working at the Department of Social Services (DSS) in foster care. During my time working in foster care, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of different families with the goals of ensuring the safety, permanency, and well-being of children. These experiences have inspired me to love and serve families and children well by connecting them to family resources and helping them reach their goals. "
