Meet Neyhla
Neyhla provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County.
Hello! My name is Neyhla and I was born in Stockton, California. I moved from California to Spartanburg, South Carolina when I was about 11 years old. Although I do miss California, I have grown to love South Carolina and its differences whether that be the food, weather, or even lingo! I thoroughly enjoy spending time with family and friends and it is what I cherish deeply. That is not to say that I do not enjoy my alone time to decompress! I say “alone time,” but I do have a furry friend that keeps me company. Biggie Smalls is my English Bulldog who always keeps me in good spirits. He is 5 years young and probably the laziest dog you will ever meet. But, just his presence can make my day better (plus we can be lazy together). Biggie is my joy and best friend. In the past couple of years, I’ve found an interest in sewing. I am usually not the crafty type, but I enjoy sewing bags and clothing. When I am not feeling crafty (which is probably 80% of the time), I do fill that crafty feeling through thrifting or shopping!
Background
Education:
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Converse University in 2024.
Since my senior year of high school, I knew I wanted to learn about psychology and pursue a career in that field. Throughout college, I quickly learned that Human Growth & Development and Abnormal Psychology were the two courses that peaked my interest. Given the opportunity, I was able to intern at The Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg my Spring semester of 2024. Not only was this internship a great opportunity to combine both human growth & development and abnormal psychology, but it gave me clarity and insight for my future. I developed a passion for helping children and I was able to experience how rewarding a profession such as advocating for children can be. A year after obtaining my degree, I came across early intervention and saw that it was everything I hoped to practice for my future. I look forward to making a difference in families through early intervention.
