Meet Nicole
Nicole provides Early Intervention Services in Oconee and Anderson Counties.
Hello! My name is Nicole, and I am very excited to serve families in both Oconee and Anderson Counties! I was born and raised in Seneca, SC. As a child I grew up surrounded by other children: assisting in church childcare, at home with my sisters, and as a teenager as a daycare assistant and aunt. My interest in serving families started my senior year of high school, but I always knew I wanted to work with children. I enjoy taking pictures with my digital camera, embroidery, and hanging out with family and friends!
Background
Education:
Bachelors of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies from Anderson University
I graduated from Anderson with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies! I learned so much in my four years, but what stuck with me most is cultural sensitivity and how to support families in times of stress. No family is the same, and culture greatly impacts each family. It is so cool to learn about different cultures and see how differently parents help their children grow and blossom. Stress is very normal and can be both positive and negative depending on how we view it and the resources available in our communities. Stress can build us up and help us become more resilient when we are provided with these resources. I am proud to work at Tiny Feet because it is a great resource for families that can help alleviate stress and accepts people of all cultures and worldviews. I also minored in Spanish at Anderson University! This allowed me to grow in my knowledge of cultures in Spanish-speaking countries and grow my Spanish vocabulary!
