Meet Savannah

Savannah provides Early Intervention Services in Pickens County.

Hello! My name is Savannah Wade, and I was born and raised in Liberty, SC. I still currently live in Liberty as well. I attended Lakeview Christian School in Pickens, SC and graduated from there in 2019. As I was growing up I always had a passion for reading and writing, and I still carry those passions with me into adulthood. I also have a new found love for the game of pickleball! I adore serving in my church, going on mission trips, and volunteering at youth camps every summer, and I also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening.

Background

Education:

  • Bachelor’s of Elementary Education from Southern Wesleyan University in 2023

When I was a teenager, my church had taken our youth group on a mission trip to Memphis, Tennessee where we worked with children in the inner-city. The environment these kids were living in was unsafe and unloving. They were forgotten, and I felt a tug on my heart for them. I knew I couldn’t just stay in Memphis. I was only 16! What I did know was there were kiddos in the Upstate who needed to be loved and supported as well, so I began my journey to become a teacher. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. During my time at SWU, I worked 2 years for YMCA Afterschool Care at Wren Elementary and another 2 years at The Growing Place in Central, SC. After graduation, I spent two years teaching 3rd Grade in Oconee County. I thought I was living the dream I had wanted, but I knew there were other effective ways to meet the needs of families and children. That’s when I found Tiny Feet Early Intervention!
